What it does#
Acquisition intelligence is the web-native replacement for ASO: a hub for where good traffic comes from and whether it converts. It composes three existing reads into tabs — an organic overview, search engines, and landing pages.
No new capture is involved; it is a composed view over Traffic sources, search-engine data and Landing pages.
When to use it#
As the organic acquisition front door for a web product. The framing that makes it useful is the second half of its question: not only where traffic comes from, but whether it converts. Organic traffic volume is a vanity metric on its own — a page ranking for a term nobody buys on is worth less than a page with a tenth the traffic and real intent.
Workflow#
Read organic share first
What proportion of your traffic you are not paying for is the single most important number in acquisition economics.
Then which engines send it
Concentration in one engine is a risk. A ranking change you do not control can remove a large share of your traffic overnight.
Then which pages, and whether they convert
Traffic-to-conversion by landing page is where the actionable finding is. Improve the pages with intent, not the ones with volume.
Permissions and prerequisites#
Web apps only. Requires the web SDK's attribution and pageview capture — everything here is derived from data you are already collecting.
Limits and edge cases#
Composed, not measured. A number differing from one of the source pages is a time-window difference.
Referrer loss inflates direct and correspondingly understates organic.
Engine attribution is by referrer, so an engine that strips it is invisible.
Troubleshooting#
Organic share looks low. Check how much traffic is classified as direct — lost referrers land there, and some of it is genuinely organic.
A search engine is missing. It is not sending a referrer, or it sent no traffic in the window.
Where the data comes from#
A composed view over the traffic-sources, search-engines and landing-pages reads. Search Console and crawl health are future connector tabs and are not shipped.
