Notifications
Notifications in the Settings area — route /settings/notifications, reachable by direct link rather than from the sidebar.
This page lives in the Settings area at /settings/notifications. It is not in the sidebar — it is reached by a direct link, or from another page that links to it.
At a glance#
| Dashboard route | /settings/notifications |
| Area | Settings (settings) |
| In the sidebar | No — reachable by direct link |
What it does#
Per-category notification preferences, each with an email and an in-app channel:
| Category | Covers |
|---|---|
| Product updates | New features and improvements. |
| Weekly digest | A summary of your key metrics each week. |
| Alerts | Error spikes, crashes and threshold breaches. |
| Billing | Invoices, plan changes and usage limits. |
When to use it#
Once, to turn off what you do not read. The category worth thinking about is Alerts: turning it off here removes your personal notification of a threshold breach, which is a different decision from the ones on Alerts and Alerts routing.
Limits and edge cases#
Team-wide alert delivery is elsewhere. These are your personal notifications; where alerts go for everyone is set in Alerts routing.
Turning off a category does not stop the underlying event. An alert still fires and is still recorded; you just are not told about it.
Troubleshooting#
My preferences reset. Site data was cleared, or you are in a different browser. See the limitation above.
Not receiving alert emails. Check this page, then whether the alert is configured and firing at all, then your own mail filtering.
