General

What it does#
General settings holds the organisation's own details — principally its name — for the workspace you are in.
It is deliberately small. Almost everything people look for under "general settings" lives somewhere more specific: members in Team & roles, apps in Apps, billing in Usage & billing, and privacy controls in Data privacy.
When to use it#
Once, at setup. Then only if the organisation is renamed.
Permissions and prerequisites#
Editing requires an administrative role. Everyone else sees it read-only. Changes are recorded as
org.updated in the audit log.
Limits and edge cases#
Organisation-scoped, not app-scoped. This is the workspace, not one product in it.
The name is a label. Renaming affects nothing functional — no keys, no data, no integrations.
Deleting the organisation is not here. That is an owner-level action, and deliberately not adjacent to a rename field.

Fields are read-only. Your role does not include organisation settings. See the role table in Team & roles.
