What it does#
Your own profile: your display name, and a link through to Security for password and session management.
Your name is what other members see against your actions — as an issue assignee, in the audit log, and in anything attributed to you.
When to use it#
Once. It is worth doing properly for one reason: a recognisable name makes attribution useful. An audit log full of email-address fragments is harder to read than one with names in it.
Permissions and prerequisites#
Your own account. Changing anyone else's details is not possible from here — membership is managed in Team & roles.
Limits and edge cases#
Account-level, not workspace-level. Your name is the same in every workspace you belong to.
Credentials are not here. Password, sessions and login history are on Security, and API credentials are on Access tokens.
Existing records keep the name they were written with where it was captured at the time.
